The awesome thing about CANVAS is that you can extract the produced image as a BASE-64 encoded string (using canvas. toDataURL) which can then be applied to the SRC or background-image of an element.</description>

It&#039;s useful if for some reason you want to create gradients where more than 1 color changes during page view (for instance in a color picker).</description>
